Our mission is: (1) to support research and teaching by faculty, students, and alumni at The University of Texas and its School of Law, and by legal professionals and scholars throughout the world; and (2) to document the history of The University of Texas School of Law.

Our resources include:

• A large and growing Rare Book Collection, including an outstanding collection of early law dictionaries.
• Archive and manuscript collections documenting the history of the UT Law School and the legal history of Texas and the United States, including the papers of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Tom C. Clark.
• An active oral history program, documenting the history of the UT Law School and Texas law.
• Online resources for legal history, including digitized materials from our collections.
• Numerous publications, including our Tarlton Law Library Legal History Series.
